Services
I work with adults living with chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, and depression.
My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care — which in plain terms means your safety, your choices, your sense of control, and our collaboration come first, at every step. I don’t run everyone through the same protocol. The approach follows the person, not the other way around.
The areas I focus on
Chronic Pain
Pain that has outlived its cause, and is more changeable than you’ve been told.
Relational Trauma
The wounds that come from our closest ties. I know this terrain from the inside.
How I work
I draw on whichever evidence-based methods actually fit you:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their grip. A mainstay for trauma and PTSD, and useful for persistent pain.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT)
Helps the brain unlearn pain that has become a false alarm — for pain that lingers long after the body has healed.
Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP)
Reduces pain-related disability and rebuilds the life pain has interrupted, one concrete step at a time.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Mindfulness and values-driven living, including a version adapted for chronic pain. Less fighting your thoughts, more building a life that matters.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Holds the balance between accepting yourself as you are and building real, practical change. Helpful for intense emotions and relationships that feel like whiplash.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Practical tools for noticing and reshaping the thoughts that keep you stuck — skills you keep long after we’re done.
Solution-Focused Therapy
Starts from what’s already working and the strengths you already have, rather than from what’s wrong.
A particular focus on chronic pain
My focus on chronic pain is deliberate, and I keep building on it. I recently completed certification in the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) — deepening my skills for this work is a real commitment, not a box I checked once. My approach is action-oriented and aimed squarely at your independence.
In a sense, my job is to work myself out of a job: to leave you better equipped to meet life on your own terms.
